Anthony Aufdenkampe, PHDSenior Environmental Scientist

Anthony Aufdenkampe, PHD, is a Senior Environmental Scientist with more than 25 years of experience synthesizing biogeochemical, hydrological, geomorphic and contaminant data, models and knowledge over watersheds and estuaries. He has applied these skills to water quality assessment, water quality criteria development, biogeoscience basic research, and decision support for conservation implementation – often in complex partnerships with government agencies, conservation organizations, funding institutions, and other stakeholders. Anthony has led numerous large project teams, not only integrating expertise across many areas of water and environmental science but also on the development of open-source software for decision support systems, geospatial analysis and modeling Web applications, multidisciplinary data interoperability standards, and low-cost wireless sensor network approaches for scientifically-sound do-it-yourself (DIY) environmental monitoring.

Anthony was formerly an Associate Research Scientist at the Stroud Water Research Center in Avondale, Pennsylvania, where he oversaw the Organic and Isotope Geochemistry laboratory group for 14 years before arriving at LimnoTech in 2016. He has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications and has extensive international experience in South America, Africa, Asia, and Europe.

Anthony works at LimnoTech’s Central Regional Office in Oakdale, Minnesota.
